Whenever I present to groups on mining sweet recollections, learning to leave a legacy from lovely life experiences, or the research that flows from the process of remembering, comments such as this one surface. “I can’t believe how many of my happy memories popped up when I shared my story and others reported their good times. Amazingly, it seemed to happen for everyone. One description prompted another event and yet another thought.”

As I smile, I think “Well, I can believe it. That’s the power of a group. That’s the gift we give each other. There’s a dynamic at work, helping each of us to focus on great moments. As we concentrate on the best of our experiences, we soon find ourselves celebrating together, even if we never met before.”
