Share Your Stories

In sharing your memories, you give priceless gifts. Write your life stories in your own handwriting. Your written words are signature to you. You may have to add a data entry version because cursive writing is no longer routinely taught. Your descendants may be unable to read or write in cursive. Nevertheless, your pen to paper is unique. I treasure not only the family stories my mother wrote for us, but also the beautiful penmanship she had. It reminds me of calligraphy (an art in itself).

Angela, wonderful inspiration and advice on writing life stories. Sobering comment about the possible extinction of ability to read or write cursive -- an art form in its own right that connects with a different area of the brain than this keyboarding I’m doing now. Fitting photo.
