Men/Women

Seems as though I focused first on the masculine theme in my book, FATHERless, featuring my dad, his father, his stepfather, men in his barbershop, my husband, his father, our son, and his sons.

Now I concentrate on the play aptly named The Women and featuring thirty roles, all written for women. I have a small part in this modern classic written by Claire Boothe Luce.

The script tells us that The Women shows not only a somewhat unflattering picture of womanhood, but also reveals a human understanding for and sympathy for women. It’s set in an artificial society that consists of vain show, comedy, tragedy, hope, and disappointment.

Join me at the Algonac Community Theatre production March 14, 2019 at 7 pm, March 15 at 7 pm, March 16 at 2 pm at the Washington Life Center, 403 N Mary Street, Marine City Michigan 48039. Tickets are $10 at the door.
